Please join us for the Native American Heritage Month Guest Artist Demonstration, featuring special guest Kelly Church. Church is a Pottawatomi/Ottawa/Ojibwe artist and educator whose work is part of the DIA’s permanent collection. Her work is also featured in the DIA's special exhibition Contemporary Anishinaabe Art: A Continuation.
Visitors will have a chance to talk to Kelly and learn about the history of the materials and her process, while taking turns helping to create a collaborative woven black ash basket.
