Event Spaces

Event spaces can be booked for the weekdays (Monday-Thursday) and weekends (Saturday-Sunday), by availability.

A wedding ceremony may not be booked without an accompanying reception, however a reception may be booked alone.

Catering

Catering at the Detroit Institute of Arts is provided by our in-house caterer. Menus are customizable by request. Please submit an inquiry form for catering menus and availability. 

Museum Shop

Events at the DIA has an exciting collaboration with the Museum Shop that offers you the individualized shopping opportunity to purchase custom guest favors, unique apparel, and more. Submit an event inquiry form to learn more.

Professional photography is allowed for free outside the museum, as long as it does not disturb visitor access. Photography inside the museum is only permitted in select spaces for couples celebrating their wedding at the museum. For more information take a look at the Photography and Film Policy.
