Partners in Public Art

The Detroit Institute of Arts’ Partners in Public Art (PIPA) program is a collaboration with municipalities and organizations throughout southeast Michigan to co-create community-driven, highly visible public works of art.

DIA Gives Back

Interested organizations are eligible for up to four tickets to the Detroit Film Theatre in the form of a voucher. To qualify for this program, organizations must:

  • Hold a 501(c)(3) IRS designation
  • Be registered in Wayne, Oakland, or Macomb County, Michigan
  • Have not received an award within the past twelve months

Free Senior Visits

The DIA offers free senior visits every day for adults 55 and older, including films, lectures, art-making, and tours.

Behind the Seen

Presented by trained DIA teaching volunteers, "Behind the Seen" brings insight and engagement about the DIA's collection from the museum to your community. Talks last up to one hour and are available to adult civic and social groups, libraries, senior centers, and other community-accessible locations in metro Detroit.

We are looking to create partnerships with non-profit organizations in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties to create arts-based programs and services to enrich the quality of life in our region.
