Create a One-of-a-Kind Handmade Print in this Mixed Media Monoprint Workshop.

Participants will explore traditional printmaking techniques while incorporating mixed-media materials to create unique, expressive works of art. Through layering, color, and texture, each participant will produce a one-of-a-kind handmade print to take home.

Join printmaker De'Mone Davis for an introduction to traditional printmaking through the process of monoprinting. Participants will experiment with color and mixed-media materials while learning techniques that emphasize creativity, individuality, and hands-on making. Participants Will: Learn the fundamentals of traditional printmaking, Explore monoprint techniques to create unique works of art, Experiment with mixed-media materials and layering and Produce a one-of-a-kind handmade print to take home.

De'Mone Davis

De’Mone is a Detroit-based traditional printmaker who earned a BFA from Northern Michigan University. Their work examines the social and political conditions that shape contemporary life, centering the perspectives of those often overlooked, misunderstood, or deliberately obscured. Through printmaking, De’Mone interrogates systems of power while exploring themes of peace, unity, and freedom, and taking inspiration from Emory D, Elizabeth C, and Charles W. Through this practice, De’Mone positions printmaking as both a historical and contemporary tool for critical reflection, dialogue, and collective awareness.
