Join the Teen Arts Council for a celebration of the many types of love in this tile-decorating workshop. Participants will learn about the materials, uses, and stories behind select tiled artworks in the DIA’s collection. They will also take part in a scavenger hunt to win prizes and create a collaborative final project from their individual tiles, all centered on the theme of love. Materials and lunch are provided.

Bring someone you love, a friend, sibling, or romantic partner, to celebrate Valentine’s Day, or make new friendships through this event. Capacity is limited.

Free with general admission, but registration is required.

The Teen Arts Council are high school students who design and implement meaningful, empowering, and entertaining programs for metro Detroit teens. Focused on community building, social justice, and culture, this group of creative and energized teens seeks to create a space within the Detroit Institute of Arts that gives voice and a creative outlet to youth.
