The Michigan Philharmonic once again joins forces with the Detroit Institute of Arts to present Miniature Masterpieces, featuring intimate music performed in the DIA’s Rivera Court.
This concert includes violinist Kimberly Kaloyanides Kennedy and Michigan Phil oboist Chris Wheeler performing J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe, BWV 1060R, along with Ottorino Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances, Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de printemps, Soon Hee Newbold’s Battle and Alis Volat Propriis (She Flies with Her Own Wings), and Gustav Holst’s St. Paul’s Suite.
