Academy Award® winner Paolo Sorrentino (The Great Beauty) has fashioned an engrossing portrait of a fading Italian ruler’s reckoning with age, power, and moral responsibility. 

La Grazia (Grace) is the tale of fictional Presidente Mariano De Santis (played brilliantly by Toni Servillo), whose term is coming to an end. Lonely in the presidential palace, mourning the loss of his wife, De Santis faces some major decisions—including presidential pardons and a groundbreaking policy bill—that may well mark his legacy. 

Sorrentino’s remarkable film creates a leader whose humanity has not left him, and who understands the responsibilities of power.
