About the mural

Situated at the intersection of two walls, the mural brightens the exterior of Fraser’s Senior Activity Center. Based on community input, Unity Garden is a vibrant design showcasing parks and nature.

From the Artist

“It is both heartwarming and an honor to be chosen as the artist to bring beauty into Fraser. I am grateful for the opportunity of being able to partner with the DIA for another public art initiative.”“It is both heartwarming and an honor to be chosen as the artist to bring beauty into Frase. From the Community

We chose to participate in the program because it will add color and inspiration to an otherwise plain building. Public murals are accessible and can be enjoyed by everyone at no cost. We have enjoyed working with the DIA on the process and look forward to the idea coming to life.”

– Elaine Leven, Fraser City Manager

Community Celebration

On November 12, 2025, the DIA and Fraser hosted a community celebration and ribbon cutting in honor of the recently completed mural, Unity Garden by Chelsea Hensbergen. The artist and Fraser city officials shared the process of the mural’s creation.
