The Art of Dining: Food Culture in the Islamic World explores the connections between Islamic art, food, and fine dining. Paintings of elaborate feasts, sumptuous vessels for food and drink, and historical cookbooks demonstrate the importance of cuisine to royal courts across Arab, Turkish, Persian, and South Asian lands.
With more than 200 works related to preparing, serving, and enjoying food, this exhibition engages multiple senses and invites us to appreciate the pleasures of sharing a meal. Members get a first look at this exhibition.
