A Collaborative Arts Initiative Bringing Together the Detroit Institute of Arts & The Carr Center

Connecting Bridges is a dynamic cultural partnership between the Detroit Institute of Arts and The Carr Center, designed to connect diverse communities through the transformative power of the arts. Rooted in Detroit's rich cultural heritage, this initiative aims to foster dialogue, creativity, and inclusivity by highlighting African American artistic contributions and promoting cross-cultural understanding through collaborative programming.

Through exhibitions, performances, and public forums, Connecting Bridges engages audiences across generations and backgrounds. The partnership spotlights emerging and established Black artists while exploring the intersections of visual and performing arts.
