Inscribed, as part of image, from upper left, across: The once proud full-feathered, self made cheif | leaves the Los Angeles Public Library, where, he had | read "whos who in America" from cover to | cover. His first reaction is recorded | here by a famous artist, as no cameras | are allowed in the reading room. | A noted journalist ask the cheif | where he bought his leather pants | and if his 16 mm movie on Indian and | Whitemen dealings was about finished. | The custodian offered to call a | taxi for the cheif while news- | reporters carried T.V. sets | up the front steps. One reporter | stepped on the cheifs foot | while his girl assistant | snipped the strap holding | the leather pouch holding | all the cheifs answers.
