2 loose notes: Purchased 1934 on Bob-lo (Bois Blanc) Island, Detroit River by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rogers of Detroit, 53.122; Probably by Chippewa Indians in Detroit River, 12 (with cover) 7 1/2 in. . .119-120-121. Obverse side of same note: Indians in ---Woodland Culture area, Chippewa---, covered basket, Braided sweet grass and wood splints in checker weave with coiled border around rim and cover, Braided---grass handle and ornament hole in center of cover.
