During this workshop, teachers will experience an artmaking exercise replicable in the classroom. Participants will design an embroidery sample that can be transferred to muslin and filled using fabric markers. The design will be motivated by motifs found in the artworks featured in the exhibition Painted with Silk, such as family, history, botany, religion and domestic life. Prior to the artmaking, teachers will be led through the exhibition and participate in guided looking activities.

All educators are welcome. 2 State Continuing Education Clock Hours pending approval.
