Grammy-winning producer, bassist, and Detroit music ambassador Don Was returns to Concert of Colors with his annual all-star revue, celebrating one of Detroit's most beloved cultural institutions: The Scene. Airing on WGPR-TV from 1975 to 1987, The Scene was Detroit's iconic dance and music television program, showcasing the sounds, style, and spirit of the city's vibrant Black music community.
Featuring an extraordinary lineup of Detroit musicians and special guests, Don Was All Stars: A Salute to The Scene pays tribute to the artists, songs, and energy that defined an era. The evening will be hosted by Detroit music champion Ann Delisi and original The Scene host Nat Morris.
