Markings
Inscribed in Gurmukhi script, Braj language, verse 14.28 of the "Rasikapriya": (trans. from Harsha V. Dehejia, "Rasikapriya: Ritikavya of Keshavdas in Ateliers of Love," DK Printworld, 2013) A sakhi speaks to another sakhi: All of a sudden dark clouds enveloped the entire sky. There was continuous thunder and lightning. The nayika was frighened and she clasped her beloved's neck. It seemed as if flames were leaping in Indra's forest.
