About the Artwork
Donald Judd's sculptures with their austere, geometric forms and monochrome colors epitomize the minimalist aesthetic. Repeating the same basic box form in a symmetrical arrangement unites the composition into a single structure, while its large scale commands the space. Judd had all of his works industrially fabricated so that each box shape would be identical, leaving no sign of the artist's handling of the work.
