Dehejia, "Rasikapriya: Ritikavya of Keshavdas in Ateliers of Love," DK Printworld, 2013) A sakhi speaks to the nayika: You have become arrogant because of your looks or is it because you consider yourself of noble birth. You consider yourself very skilled and you look down on others. You have become arrogant and seem to fly in the sky on a chariot of your pride. Your garments are also flying, do observe some decor[um]. Do not be obstinate for you ar a thoughtful person. O doe-eyed one! Speak gently to Krishna who has given you his mind as priced as a diamond.
