Detroit Institute of Arts will be closed to the public on Tuesday, Sept. 19 as the staff prepares to kick off the fall season with enrichment, staff development activities and plans to better engage visitors over the coming year
WHAT: To better serve the museum’s nearly 700,000 annual visitors, the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) will be closed to the public for a day. This time will allow all of the museum’s 350 staff members to enter into conversations and explore innovative tools for engaging with each other and museum visitors in the upcoming year.
WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 19, during business hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
